The design of Ferns has been inspired by wonderful Nature. I live in Somerset in the UK and love British woodlands and plants! Ferns are one of my favourite. It has been hand carved out of lino to create unique blocks which I handprint the final images with. The print of Ferns has been hand burnishing without a press.
'Ferns' took 17 days to carve. I focused to lights and shades without outlines and fine lines. My purpose was to create a lot of shadows by using simple short hatching.
Every one is numbered and signed. This is limited edition of 50 prints.
