Drift unfolds like a visual journey — a continuous flow of ink, pigment, and carved impressions moving across concertina pages. The form recalls historical leporello books and early travel sketchbooks, but here the path is inward as much as outward.
Each panel blends drawing, painting, and relief print, echoing traditions from Japanese emakimono scrolls to the organic abstractions of post-war European printmaking. The earthy palette and gestural lines suggest both geological layers and tidal currents, inviting the viewer to read the work as landscape, memory, or pure rhythm.
The accordion binding allows Drift to be experienced in multiple ways: leafed through in intimate sequence, or expanded into a sculptural form for display. Stood upright, it becomes a three-dimensional object — a winding topography of paper, shadow, and mark — that shifts as the light changes.
Both book and sculpture, Drift invites the viewer to slow down, follow the movement, and get lost in the quiet momentum of line after line, fold after fold.
