Part of Aga Kubish's ongoing botanical series, this work explores natural systems through a dense cluster of mushrooms emerging from a decaying tree trunk. While often overlooked, fungal networks form some of the most complex and interconnected structures found in nature, linking individual organisms into larger living systems.
Rather than focusing on a single specimen, the image observes a moment of collective growth — a temporary gathering shaped by hidden processes beneath the forest floor.
Each print is individually hand-coated and exposed, resulting in subtle variations in tone, texture and edge quality. No two prints are exactly alike.
